Dining in the dark in Marseille: a unique experience

With over 2 million guests worldwide since 2004, Dans le Noir ? is a true international success. Present in more than 10 countries and over 15 cities including Paris, London, Madrid, Bordeaux, Brussels, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Luxembourg, and Geneva - the inclusive concept of the Dans le Noir ? group arrived in Marseille on October 12, 2023, in partnership with Le République.

Dining in the dark is now available in Marseille three evenings a week, from Thursday to Saturday, starting at 7 p.m. Guests are invited to enjoy a 100% surprise menu, including a starter, main course, and dessert with or without wine pairings. Our incredible visually impaired guides will lead you through this unforgettable experience, filled with sharing and reflection, both on taste perception and human connection. Recruited with the support of local associations, our guides are trained by our team of Dans le Noir ? experts.

This project is made possible through a collaboration with Le République, a restaurant operated by the nonprofit La Petite Lili. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to solidarity and inclusion: La Petite Lili promotes professional integration and social diversity, while Dans le Noir ? creates employment opportunities for people with visual impairments in mainstream settings. These shared values make this partnership a socially innovative and purposeful venture.

In line with these commitments, we also organize solidarity-based initiatives. Every service includes a dedicated table where meals are offered for a symbolic €1, echoing our partner’s mission.
